Cinco de Mayo!! (was 3 days ago lol) There was a Cinco de Mayo celebration in downtown Denver. I met up with my friend Molly and we walked around for a few hours. It was fun. There ware giant beer bottles and cans. The smell of nacho cheese and chili was in the air. After walking past the food booths at either end of Civic Center Park we decided to go redeem our free beagles from Einstein Beagles. SOOO GOOD!!! I also found out it was Molly's birthday so I also bought her drink. I offered to get her anything else she wanted but she didn't find anything, there wasn't much there besides Mexican stuff....it was Cinco de Mayo after all. XD
I did buy a funnel cake and we ate most of it. I think the pidgins wanted to finish it cause they kept circling us. It reminded me of the geese from Hanami lol. We parted way after the funnel cake and I stopped by the book store.....and bought manga lol. I got the next volume of Nabari no Ou (I love the story) and the next volume of DOGS (I love that story too!) I then made my way down to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory where I got my mom some fudge and a couple Irish Cream Truffles. They were an early Mother's Day gift.
I was downtown most of Saturday and all I got were 2 pictures. I kept thinking about what I can get a picture of at the Cinco de Mayo celebration but alas I just got a few while I was waiting for my bus.
Tis the front half of the Free Mall ride! Its a battery operated free bus that runs up and down the length of the 16th Street Mall, from Civic Center Station to Union Station. It stops at every block. This one is going past the Tabor Center on Lawrence as I wait for meh bus.
I turn my head to the left and I get an empty street. This is kind of eerie for a Saturday afternoon with things going on downtown. The weather was nice too! To make it more eerie I was the only one at that bus stop the whole 20 minutes I waited. I didn't even catching any cars or buses passing by on 15th.
Until tomorrow!~
