My friend and I took our dogs for a hike this morning! The dogs were so excited that I didn't even attempt to try to take a picture of them so here are a few other other pictures I took!
Right at the start of the hike we had this view! You can see Highway 6 over yonder! (the tiny squiggle in the distance)
These were everywhere! Ok maybe not everywhere but there several of them. Sent this picture to my entomologist friend and she says they are Wooly Bear Caterpillars that eventually turn into Tiger Moths...ew.
Towards the end of out hike I stopped to take a picture of some wild flowers. I saw them and just had to! I felt like all the people passing us on the trail were like 'Oh look at that city girl with her cell phone taking pictures of wild flower' HA HA!!! It was kinda like that but it's not like I never get out and trees are this strange thing to me. I live in Colorado I have to like the mountain...it's in my blood! Plus I was taking pictures for my out of state friend who has never been to Colorado...that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!
The dogs were happy as heck to get out and about. My dog is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a few people were like he has awful short legs for going on a hike but Shinji does pretty dang good! That is until we reached avalanche alley. Threes avalanche sites along the trail were the rocks were just too much for poor short Shinji. Amy on the other hand was like what ever watch me bounce from rock to rock I have energy to burn!!! (She is an Australian Shepard)
At the end of the morning it was a good hike for all of us!
